Kayla Itsines launches Yoga and Barre workouts on the SWEAT app
Australia fitness mogul Kayla Itsines has just added Yoga and Barre workouts to her SWEAT app, offering more variety than ever. It’s still cheaper than any gym membership with the convenience of being able to do it all at home.
Variety is not only the spice of life, it’s also the best way to exercise in that it works different muscle groups in different ways, and also keeps us from getting bored.
Fitness empress Kayla Itsines knows this, which is why she’s just added Yoga and Barre workouts to her SWEAT app.

“The reality is that many women don’t train using the one fitness style, they want to be able to include other fitness styles, like Barre or Yoga, alongside their high intensity and strength workouts,” says Kayla.
Much like the rest of her offerings, these workouts are designed for the home environment and introduce new instructors from all over the world.
The new Barre program will be run by Britany Williams, who started doing the dance-focused workout to combat the effects of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
This class incorporates elements of flexibility-building ballet and strength-building Pilates with high-intensity movements. But don’t worry, you don’t need to be a dancer to get the most out of these classes and indeed all offerings on SWEAT are suited for beginners and up.
“Britany lives with Rheumatoid Arthritis and she understands the need to modify exercises for those starting out with Barre to help first-timers,” says Kayla.
The yoga offering is headed up by Vinyasa instructors Phyllicia Bonnano and Ania Tippkemper, who each bring their own flavour depending on what you’re after.
“For women who are starting out with Yoga, Phyllicia’s program is perfect as it provides an accessible and gentle style of Yoga that empowers women to safely explore their physical capability,” says Kayla.
“Ania delivers an athletic form of Yoga with powerful flows and non-traditional poses, which is ideal for beginners or those looking to push themselves on the mat.”
SWEAT is available from the Apple App Store for $19.99 a month or $119.99 per year.
