Teva’s cult-status sandals step out with pride
The cult-status sandal is adding another variation to their myriad of styles, and with good reason.
All-terrain footwear is enjoying a moment in the sun, with functional sandals like Birkenstocks and the velcro-ladden Teva adorning the feet of activewear and fashion enthusiasts alike.
So we can say that ‘gorpcore’ is here to stay (at least for another season) with the likes of fashion giant Gucci recently jumping on the practically-minded bandwagon, launching a much-anticipated collaboration with outdoors-outfitters The North Face. Good news for those who value comfort as much as style.
Now Teva sandal lovers can do more than just feel – and look – good, as the brand launches a limited edition Rainbow Pride Pack to support pride month, and the wider LGBTQIA+ community.
Fronted by Australian queer activists Kath Ebbs and partner Zoe Terakes, and supported by LGBTQIA+ style icon Deni Todorovic, the campaign hopes to spread the word of inclusivity via four rainbow adorned styles. Made to be worn by all genders, the colourful designs riff off Teva’s iconic sporty aesthetic, but adheres to the brand’s firm commitment to the environment – with all straps being made out of used plastic bottles.
The range retails for $99.95 – $109.95, and is available to buy via Teva’s Australian website, or selected retailers from January 8th. You can also shop the full Teva range at Catch, The Iconic, Amazon or ASOS.
