The MAFS breakup we definitely didn’t see coming
After about a year of dating, Liz Sobinoff and Seb Guilhaus from season 7 of Married at First Sight are over. We don’t know exactly why, though.
One of Married At First Sight’s longest-lasting couples, Liz Sobinoff and Seb Guilhaus, have called it quits.
The pair found love on the reality show’s seventh season and dated for about a year before announcing it was all over via social media.
“We have mutually decided to end our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend. We want to thank everyone for the endless support we have received on our platforms,” their joint statement read on both of their respective Instagram accounts.
“Please be kind and respectful. We are aware you have followed parts of our journey, but please remember we are real people, and we are both navigating our way through this time to the best of our abilities.”

The former couple acknowledged their fans will want to gossip about the reason for their split, which is why disabled comments on the post to curtain the rumour mill.
“We are both respectful of each other and are still involved in each other’s lives. We both have cherished each other and have grown together,” they concluded.
Seb and Liz’s break appears to be relatively recent, as the last social media post of them together, looking festive, was December 26.
A month ago, Seb said it had been “an amazing year of self-growth for both of us”, when COVID restrictions forced a long-distance relationship on the pair: Seb was based in South Australia while Liz was in Sydney.
