Mind & Body

Your weekly horoscope is here, for the week commencing September 13 2020

Astrologer Oscar Cainer lays out your weekly horoscope for the week of Sunday September 13th to Saturday 19th, 2020.

VIRGO (Aug 24–Sep 23)

Apparently goldfish are forgetful and that’s why they’re happy living in tiny bowls. The notion that goldfish forget quickly is probably wishful thinking on our part. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could simply blot out any difficult parts of our lives? Although the new moon in your sign won’t enable you to wipe the slate clean, it will bring fresh perspective. Change your life.

LIBRA (Sep 24–Oct 23)

As days go by it’s easier to stand back and view an emotive situation with more objectivity. Anxiety decreases and you’re able to assess new developments with clarity. Although someone is suggesting that you seek a second opinion, you know your judgement is accurate. It’s true the best person to advise you is the one you see in the mirror. Self-belief is the key to a successful week.

SCORPIO (Oct 24–Nov 22)

If you’ve ever tried to fit a square peg into a round hole, you’ll know it’s impossible, unless, of course, you were to use a tool to reshape the hole and make it so large that the shape of the peg is irrelevant. But unless you’re skilled in carpentry, you’ll likely end up in an unsatisfactory mess. Don’t waste your time trying to do the impossible. A new moon encourages easy solutions to problems.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 23–Dec 21)

People read their zodiac predictions for all sorts of reasons. While some face a challenging situation and are looking for advice and hope, others are content with their lives and read to see if there’s excitement in the offing. This week, as your ruling planet Jupiter connects with the planet of communication, there’s one message: your week will be good (and get even better).

CAPRICORN (Dec 22–Jan 20)

We’re free to choose our friends and companions, but we have no choice when it comes to family. Although we may spend more time with some relatives over others, we have to accept that we’re connected to certain people. A situation in your family life has been problematic, and this has made you unhappy. This week, a shift will occur that makes you much happier.

AQUARIUS (Jan 21–Feb 19)

The new moon ushers in an opportunity to make an arrangement that benefits both you and someone else. You’ve got a win/win situation on your hands. Since you’re surrounded by an aura of fairness and equality, there’s no need to fight for what’s yours. While it would be lovely if life could always be this easy, that’s not how life works. But this week, at least, you can get what you need.

PISCES (Feb 20–Mar 20)

When people feel comfortable, they will happily take a long and winding road to get to where they want to be. They figure that it might even be faster than taking an unknown way and risk getting lost. This week, the new moon highlights an innovative way to tackle a process that has been taking up far too much of your time and energy. At last! Be guided to a happier future.

ARIES (Mar 21–Apr 20)

Your ruling planet Mars has been in your sign for so long it’s no wonder you’ve acclimatised to its effects. Now that it has turned retrograde, this week brings chances for you to re-evaluate recent progress, assimilate gifts you’ve received and have another strike at opportunities you may have previously overlooked. Don’t be daunted by anything, you’re exactly where you need to be.

TAURUS (Apr 21–May 21)

We use myths and legends to explain important issues. With the passage of time, our own stories work in a similar way. When we look back at important events, the experiences gained can change the way we relate in the present. But we don’t always draw the right conclusions. The new moon enables you to revisit your history and change the way you approach a key relationship.

GEMINI (May 22–Jun 22)

Someone’s trying to tell you something, but their communication sends mixed messages. What are you supposed to make of their behaviour? Is there a hidden agenda? Though you normally enjoy deciphering the mystifying, do you need to invest so much effort trying to work out the truth of their message? This week, if you take what’s happening at face value, you will soon identify the action you need to take.

CANCER (Jun 23–Jul 23)

Although the expression “make hay while the sun shines” is meant to encourage us, in reality gathering crops is hard work – especially in hot weather. Wouldn’t it be better to wait for a cool and cloudy day to toil in? The new moon signals a change of climate in your life. You’ve been working hard; be ready to enjoy rest and recreation.

LEO (Jul 24–Aug 23)

‘One Man’s Ceiling Is Another Man’s Floor’ is a song about living in a compact block of units, but perfectly captures how our perspective alters depending on where we are and what we can see. While some people may be desperate to get away from something, others may want to get hold of it. Your own needs are valid and deserve to be valued. This will be easier than you think.
